Ghana League Clubs Association chairman Kudjoe Fianoo has announced he will run for the Ghana FA presidency.

The former Ashantigold chief is the latest high-profile personality to declare his intention to contest for the top job.

Fianoo, who has vast experience in football administration, is expected to add to the growing number of personalities seeking to succeed Kwesi Nyantakyi.

Nyantakyi has been handed a global ban by FIFA due to corruption crisis which engulfed his organisation.

“Very soon I’m going to make my official declaration and start my campaign to put myself up as a candidate for the Ghana Football Association Presidency,” he said.

“At the right time, I will come out officially and announce my plans and my campaign team for the election.”

GHANAsoccernet.com understands that the former Executive Committee member has the full backing of government.
