Ghanaian youngster Derrick Appiah has joined SSC Napoli’s youth team for pre-season.Â
The talented midfielder will stay with the Coppa Italia holders but will be handed a professional contract when he turns 18 on January 15.
Appiah passed a medical in July after a successful trial on the initiate of Ghanaian FIFA agent Oliver Arthur.
Napoli's chief scout personally recommended the former Amidaus FC player to the Naples club after describing him as one of the most promising talents in African football.
