I was still carrying water when I became popular – Charles Taylor reveals

Ex- Asante Kotoko star Charles Taylor has revealed that he continued to serve his manager by carrying water for him even when he came into the limelight of Ghana football.

Charles Taylor arguably is one of the best Ghanaian players to grace the local scene during the 2000’s.

He started his career with Great Olympics and later joined Hearts of Oak.

With his outstanding performances for Hearts of Oak winning a lot of laurels for the club, he made one of the controversial transfer moves to join arch-rivals Asante Kotoko.

Taylor who was part of the 2009 Black Stars team that won silver at the CHAN tournament made this revelation on Delay show.

He explained that he continued carrying water because his manager wanted him to be humble despite gaining popularity.

Charles Taylor on his revelation spree on Delay show also disclosed that he received wages of Gh ₵150 from the club  at that time.
