Inter Milan's Radja Nainggolan set for spell on sidelines after spraining ankle

Mauro Icardi put a fitting end on another tense, back-and-forth Milan derby, scoring in stoppage time to once again play hero for Inter over Milan.

Mauro Icardi's heroics and Gianluigi Donnarumma's positioning are the focus of the FC crew's attention after Inter bested Milan in the Milan derby.

Inter Milan have suggested that midfielder Radja Nainggolan could be out for several weeks, starting with Wednesday's Champions League match at Barcelona, after he suffered a sprained ankle during the derby against AC Milan on Sunday.

The combative 30-year-old, Inter's prize signing in the close season when he joined the club for 38 million euros ($44 million) from AS Roma, was injured during the first half in a challenge by Milan midfielder Lucas Biglia, who caught the Belgian from behind.

Biglia was booked and an angry Nainggolan had to go off shortly afterwards.

"The results confirmed that he has sprained his left ankle. The midfielder's condition will be reassessed in the coming weeks," said Inter in a statement.
