Inter are ready to offer striker Lautaro Martinez a new and improved contract according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

The 22-year-old striker has been in fine form this season and that form has not went unnoticed with it understood that there are many big clubs, including Barcelona and Manchester City, interested in signing him.

Lautaro is under contract with the Nerazzurri club until the end of the 2022/23 season already but Inter are keen to deter the reported interested from elsewhere by tying him down to a new contract, that will see him get a salary more befitting of his status with the club.

As per the report, the former Racing Club player currently earns €1.5 million a season, which makes him one of the lowest paid players in the squad.

This season the Argentine international, who joined the club back in the Summer of 2018, has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has netted 16 goals.
