Ghana defender John Boye believes his impressive Rennes debut will hand head coach Frederic Antonetti selection headache in the Ligue 1.
The 23-year-old had a window opportunity following injuries to Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik and Kader Mangane and kept a clean-sheet in their 2-0 win over Nice.
The former Heart of Lions centre-back is excited at making the grades in his first competitive match for side.
"If somebody is playing unless he is injured before you can get the opportunity and now I have played and everybody has seen so a will be a little bit difficult for the coach but he decides who to play," Boye told Joy FM
"Before the game the coach told me: 'Hey John you are the best defender in this team but you haven't got the time to play so take this chance and let others see you."
