Having completed the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid, Juventus are ready to launch a fresh assault on the Spanish club for left-back Marcelo.
The Bianconeri secured five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo in a sensational â¬105 million move on Tuesday evening, as they look to win a first Champions League since 1996.
This has prompted them to pursue Brazil international Marcelo, but any move for the 30-year-old hinges on compatriot and current Juventus left-back Alex Sandro departing this summer, report Premium Sport.
Alex Sandro has drawn interest from Premier League duo Chelsea and Manchester United, and should the Serie A champions cash in on the former Porto man, Marcelo is set to emerge as a key target.
However, Juventus are only ready to sell Alex Sandro for a considerable figure and have not yet shown any indication of being ready to offload the 27-year-old.
Marcelo has won four Spanish league titles and as many Champions League crown’s since joining Real Madrid from Brazilian club Fluminense in January 2007.
