Asante Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu admits to concerns of losing key players to clubs ready to make huge offers for their services.
Konaduââ¬â¢s worry comes in the wake of GHANAsoccernet.comââ¬â¢s report that English clubs Arsenal and Manchester City are in the hunt to sign flying left-back Baba Abdul Rahman.
The former Dreams FC defender amongst other players have been instrumental in Kotokoââ¬â¢s impressive league charge this term and their coach fears it could get even worse with the end of the current European season on the horizon.
ââ¬ÅI am really worried by this (possible departures) and is something we will be looking to deal with very soon,â⬠he told GHANAsoccernet.com.
ââ¬ÅEven now, there are some offers for some key players of our team on the table.
ââ¬ÅIt will be clearly very difficult for us (Kotoko) to hold onto some of them but others I am sure we can get replacements for.
ââ¬ÅBut really it is a concern and together with my boss (Dr. Sarpong) we will strategize to see how best we can resolve this issue by next month.ââ¬
Kotoko have already lost striker Nathaniel Asamoah to Serbian giant Red Star Belgrade during the January transfer period.
