Liverpool fans split over Klopp's big FA Cup decision

Jurgen Klopp has revealed he will not manage the side or use his senior squad during their FA Cup fifth-round replay with Shrewsbury Town - and Liverpool fans have been giving their reaction.

Klopp has revealed Liverpool, along with other top-flight clubs, received a letter asking them not to agree friendlies and schedule any rearranged fixtures during their allotted break.

As a result, he said this evening that neither he nor the first-team squad will be involved in the FA Cup replay - which seems to have been greeted with a mixed reaction among fans and pundits.

Having already told his senior players they would have the week off, u23s boss Neil Critchley will be taking charge of a group of youngsters as they bid to reach the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Whilst many fans agree with Klopp's stand, some others have questioned the move:

This, of course, is not the first time a tricky fixture situation has unfolded this season.

Critchley oversaw Liverpool's 5-0 Carabao Cup quarter-final defeat at Aston Villa when the Reds had two games in 24 hours due to their participation in the FIFA Club World Cup.
