Malmö battles Sirius FC for refund of Kingsley Sarfo’s 14 million transfer fee

Swedish club Malmo FC are demanding for a refund of 14 million from Sirius for the transfer of Ghanaian International Kingsley Sarfo .

Kingsley Sarfo who is currently serving his jail term was bought by Malmo in the summer of 2017 from Sirius at a fee of 14 million had his contract cancelled by the club after he was convicted.

Sarfo was sentenced for two cases of rape against children. Malmo have reported the issue to the Swedish Football Association arbitration panel and are demanding a refund of the money from his previous club Sirius. Reports also indicates that Sirius are unwilling to pay the said amount with Club chairman Ove Sjöblom considering the chances of a negative outcome in this dispute as "very low".
