Newcastle United fans have taken to Twitter to register their displeasure with the performance of Christian Atsu during their goalless draw against Fulham FC in the English Premier League on Saturday.
The Magpies are now unbeaten in their last two, taking four points from those games.
But unfortunately, they have not exactly captured the imagination with their performances in those two fixtures.
And while several players left the fans feeling underwhelmed with their performances in the stalemate at St James' Park over the weekend, Atsu was one of the most heavily criticised.
Meanwhile, statistics on Whoscored reveals that the Ghanaian was one of the most dangerous players on the field after making four successful tackles - no player on the pitch managed more - and boasted the joint-highest pass completion rate on the pitch from those who started the game.
Nevertheless, plenty of the Toon Army clearly feel that he does not ask enough questions of the opposition full-backs given what his role in the team is.
Have we ever had a worse right-hand side than Atsu and Manquillo?! #NUFC

Manquillo and Atsu is an abomination of a right hand side #nufc

Atsu, Kenedy, Perez and Ritchie are simply not good enough for the PL, if you want a team to cement a place in this league you cannot have those as your main source of creativity #nufc

I’m struggling to understand why it too Rafa so long to replace Atsu! Should of been off after 30 mins #nufc
