Vientiane: Laos will be on a mission when they face Bangladesh in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023 Preliminary Joint Qualification Round One on Thursday.

The Southeast Asian nation were one of four teams to drop into the first round of the Asian Qualifiers this time around after earning three Round Two appearances in their four previous campaigns.

Their recent form, however, has been modest and in Bangladesh, Laos face a team they couldn't defeat in two meetings last year, losing 1-0 and drawing 2-2.

The first leg can be viewed at mycujoo.tv with the tie kicking off at the National Stadium, KM16 in Vientiane at 18:30 (UTC +7) on Thursday.

Bangladesh, who made their FIFA World Cup Qualifying debut in 2005, come into the tie having defeated Cambodia 1-0 in an international friendly last March.

The South Asians are another side to have dropped into the first round of the Asian Qualifiers and will be determined to earn a place in the second round draw along with the top teams from the Continent.
