Saudi club to make audacious Muntari offer

Saudi Arabian side Al Ittifaq Dammam are preparing to launch an audacious bid for the services of Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Muntari.

The Damman-based club is set to make an offer of US$20m as they open negotiations with Italian giants Inter Milan for Muntari. The player is rumoured to be interested in a move to Saudi Arabia even though the move will take him away from the limelight. Al Ittifaq, Prince Tagoe’s former club, are preparing to offer Muntari a huge four-year deal in order to snap him up as soon as possible.

The deal will double his current earnings at Inter Milan. The 25-year-old former Portsmouth player made 36 appearances for Inter Milan last season, but spent much of the campaign on the bench for the Treble winners.

Muntari is an energetic midfielder, capable of scoring spectacular goals, like his opener for Ghana against Uruguay in Friday's World Cup quarterfinal.

He is contracted to Inter Milan until 2013 and is valued at € 15M-20M.
