Former Hearts of Oak captain Moro Abubakar has vehemently denied allegations of running away from a pregnancy attributed to him by a Serbian lady.

Ghana's leading football news outfit, GHANAsoccernet.com, was contacted by one Jobana Llbetnhob accusing the midfielder of neglect after being told of the pregnancy.

Jobana claims she is due to give birth in February and has made several unsuccessful attempts to contact the Ghanaian midfielder who played for Serbian top-flight side Donji Srem for less than a year.

The former Hearts of oak captain terminated his contract with the Serbian club earlier this year after going unpaid for eight months and has since returned to Ghana.

But the scorned Serbian lady is making efforts to locate the whereabouts of Moro Abubakar to force him into accepting responsibility for the pregnancy.

The midfielder who is looking for a new club, even though admitting knowing his accuser, insists he never had an affair with Jobana that will lead to pregnancy.

“She is someone I knew during my brief time in Serbia but we never mated for her to get pregnant,” Abubakar told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“I am not denying that we were close but there is no way she could be pregnant for me.

“Also, she says I bolted after knowing of the pregnancy which is not true.

“I only returned home because I cancelled my contract after going unpaid for months.

“I am a very responsible person who is looking to move forward in my football career so there is absolutely no way I will be this reckless and also refuse to accept such a responsibility.”

Jobana has hinted she will be suing Moro Abubakar through the Serbian embassy.

Abubakar joined Donji Srem in 2014 as a free agent but cancelled his contract with the club a few months later over unpaid salaries.

He is now in Ghana plotting a new move.
