Head coach of Tanzanian giants Simba FC, Patrick Aussems has praised Ghanaian midfielder James Kotei in their 4-0 win over Mbabane Swallows in the CAF Champions League.

Simba FC traveled to Swaziland to beat Swallows 4-0 and record a 8-1 aggregate scoreline to progress to the next stage of the competition.

James Kotei played a key role in the heart of midfield for his side earning some plaudits from the Belgian tactician.

“I said that we won’t come here to defend and protect the results. Players understood the plan very well and made a great performance ! Proud of you guys but that’s only the first step.” Aussems stated after the game.

“Our midfield was solid and James (Kotei) was very efficient as he started most of the attacks,” he added.

Zambia international Clatous Chama rallied Simba into the 28th minute lead finishing off a rebound with a powerful strike just inside the box firing past the diving Ntokozo Shabangu.

Chama then completed his quick brace three minutes later with an excellent individual brilliance coupled by beautiful exchanges with skipper John Bocco.

The visitors literally took the matters beyond Swallows reach with a third courtesy of Emmanuel Okwi who sliced his way past the slow Swallows backline and shortly after the hour mark it all turned into a nightmarish embarrassment when Sinceros Medi made it 4-0.
