Inter Allies claim their loss to New Edubiase in the midweek Premier League clash was due to biased officiating.
A late striker by James Boadu confined the Premier League debutants to their fourth straight defeat in the Ghanaian top flight at the Berkwai Park on Wednesday.
Allies are however say their defeat to Edubiase was simply due to poor officiating by the match officials led by centre referee Fred Andoh..
ââ¬ÅInter Allies FC were handed a painful 1-0 defeat at the Gyamfi park in Bekwai during the mid week premier league fixture,â⬠the club said in a statement.
ââ¬ÅReferee Fred Andoh and his linesmen marred the beauty of the game in the 2nd half with bias officiating that left the Allies players frustrated.
ââ¬ÅThe numerous unqualified free kicks awarded to Edubiase around the Inter Allies goal area finally paid off and Edubiaseââ¬â¢s James Boadu got the only goal in the game after a goalmouth melee about 20 minutes to full time.
ââ¬ÅThe Ghana Football Associationââ¬â¢s good gesture of sending a cameraman to capture all games across the league centers to expose bad officiating, crowd violence etc. before, during and after matches is a step in the right direction.
ââ¬ÅThe PLB must get a copy of the game to see the shameful act of Fred Andoh and his linesmen and sanction them to prevent future occurrences.
The promoted side are still chasing their first point(s) since qualifying for the Ghana Premier League.
