Torino to offer Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper lifeline

Published on: 18 January 2016

Torino‘s quest to sign Ital international Salvatore Sirigu may well hinge on the wishes of the player himself.

The 29-year-old Paris Saint-Germain gloveman has found himself out of favour at the Parc des Princes this season and is thought to be considering a move away from the French capital.

Monagasque radio station RMC report that while Les Rouge-et-Bleu would ideally like to keep Sirigu on as a back-up to Kevin Trapp, they will not stand in his way should he wish to move to another club.

The Sardinian stopper has been on the radar of the Granata, who look set to table an offer and allow the three-time Ligue 1 champion two or three days to respond.

Sirigu has been with the French champions since 2011 and spent his first four seasons with the club as first choice only to be deposed on the arrival of Trapp from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer.
